Our mission
Great Lakes Immigration Assistance exists to help immigrants and families navigate confusing administrative processes with dignity, organization, and respect. We provide general educational information, limited clerical document support, advocacy, and referrals.
What makes our approach different
- We explain the difference between information, clerical assistance, and legal advice.
- We do not promise outcomes or guarantee government decisions.
- We encourage qualified legal review whenever a case involves eligibility, prior denials, arrests, removal proceedings, fraud concerns, missed deadlines, or other legal risks.
- We use official agency instructions and current editions of forms.
- We protect confidentiality and collect only information reasonably needed for the requested service.
Our values
Accuracy, dignity, transparency, accessibility, confidentiality, and appropriate referral.
